Firefighters said that someone found a truck that was stolen from a volunteer fire department Thursday.
The Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department and the Prince George’s County Police Department shared word of the stolen on their social media accounts. Posts on the X platform said that the was a 2011 Chevy Silverado with Ritchie Volunteer Fire Department markings on it, taken from the volunteer fire department, which is located at 1415 Ritchie Marlboro Rd. in Capitol Heights.
Within hours of the posts, the fire/EMS department said somebody found the truck on a neighborhood street in Capitol Heights. The update said members of the police department were processing the truck, which was reported stolen at 6 a.m., for evidence.
