A Troy man faces multiple felony charges after allegedly stealing an ambulance at Towanda Memorial Hospital, driving south through Towanda Borough’s Main Street and breaking into two residences in Towanda Township while under the influence of drugs at around 8:45 p.m. Saturday.
According to police, Bradley L. Cordner, 40, drove the ambulance south at a high speed before leaving it at 1137 S. Main St. and forcing his way into a nearby residence. When police arrived on the scene, Cordner was allegedly being pushed out of the door by one of the building’s residents.
While being placed under arrest, Cordner allegedly began to fight with officers by hitting Officer Anthony Carpenter in the chest, kicking Trooper Logan Knapp in the leg and biting Officer Joshua Lake on the hand. Carpenter utilized a stun gun during the arrest.
