A man is in custody after an ambulance was stolen from St. Clare’s Hospital.

The RNC got a call about somebody going around the hospital parking lot and checking ambulance doors.

While officers were en route, the ambulance was stolen.

Police caught up with it downtown St. John’s just before 11:30 p.m. A 38-year-old man was taken into custody and charged accordingly.

In addition, police say he resisted arrest and breached court orders.
