The Calexico Fire Department ambulance that was reported stolen early Friday morning has since been located at an undisclosed location in Holtville, said CFD Chief Diego Favila.

EL CENTRO — An ambulance belonging to the Calexico Fire Department was reportedly stolen about 1:30 a.m. Friday in El Centro.

Ambulance personnel were in the process of dropping off a patient at El Centro Regional Medical Center when it was stolen from the emergency room driveway, said Chief Diego Favila.

The unit that was reported stolen is marked with the number 70. The vehicle was reportedly left unlocked with its keys inside, according to the El Centro Police Department call logs.

A possible suspect was identified by hospital staff and video surveillance footage of the incident was pending, the call logs stated.
