3/6/23 Richmond County, GA – Gold Cross Ambulance Stolen – Found In Parking Lot An Hour Later – Escaped – Deputies Investigating

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a Gold Cross EMS ambulance on Feb. 25.

Jamey Crosby, director of compliance and performance standards for Gold Cross EMS, contacted the sheriff’s office on Feb. 27 to report an ambulance had been stolen, according to an incident report.

Crosby told deputies an unknown man took the ambulance from 2452 Wheeless Road at about 1 a.m. Feb. 25 and it was found more than an hour later in the parking lot at 1424 Walton Way, according to the report.

Crosby told deputies he did not know how the ambulance was taken, but said it had already been towed to the shop to be checked for any damages.

Authorities say a man is wanted for questioning, but no suspect names have been released.
