4/17/26 Memphis, TN – Woman Steals Memphis Fire Department Ambulance From Medical Call – Arkansas State Troopers Gave Chase – Spike Strips And Pit Maneuver Stopped Her In Arkansas – Arrested

 A Memphis Fire Department ambulance is back with its rightful owners after it was stolen early Friday morning.

MFD said crews were treating a patient at a home on Tunica Street when they noticed an unknown person driving away with the ambulance.

MFD personnel was able to track the vehicle into Arkansas, where Arkansas State troopers gave chase.

Troopers were able to use spike strips and a PIT maneuver to stop the ambulance and take the suspect into custody at Baptist Memorial Hospital in West Memphis.

The suspect was identified as Vanessa Bowen. She’s charged with theft of property.
