One person was arrested Monday night after leading Birmingham police on a chase through several cities on the interstate in a stolen ambulance.
Just after 9:30 p.m., the ambulance was stolen from the 700 block of Princeton Avenue.
Officers spotted the ambulance and tried to make a traffic stop but the driver kept going, according to police.
Police pursued the ambulance on Interstate 59 in southbound lanes and got off at the Allison-Bonnett Memorial Drive exit.
The chase continued until it ended in the 1900 block of Primary School Drive in Hueytown, where officers took the driver into custody without incident.
