Man arrested after stealing ambulance from Vanderbilt

A suspect in a stolen ambulance lead Deputies at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lomita Station on a short pursuit on the border of Rancho Palos Verdes and San Pedro, according to authorities.

The Lomita Sheriff’s Station received a report Monday evening about an ambulance being stolen while Paramedics were inside a home assisting someone. The stolen ambulance was located on the border in Rancho Palos Verdes, where it led authorities on a short pursuit.

“Luckily the suspect eventually yielded and after some convincing, was taken into custody. The grateful EMTs were reunited with their ambulance,” Lomita Sheriff’s Station said.
