Police have named the man accused of crashing a stolen ambulance in Fresno County Thursday night.

In an email to YourCentralValley.com, police named him as 37-year-old Joshua Ray Ivey.

CHP said they and deputies tracked Ivy heading south on Highway 41 near Floral Avenue before eventually catching up to him near Mountain View Avenue.

However, before they could pull him over, CHP says he ran a red light, struck a car, and overturned. Neither he nor the car’s driver that he hit was injured.

After being medically cleared, Ivy was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail.
