9/2/26 Nashville, TN – Man Steals Ambulnz Ambulance From Hospital – Police Chase – Tells Metro Police He Didn’t Have A Ride Home From The Hospital – Arrested

A man led police on a chase down Interstate 24 after stealing an ambulance from TriStar Centennial Medical Center, according to authorities.

Christopher Bradford, 33, was arrested Monday and booked on charges of felony vehicle theft charge and misdemeanor driving on suspended license.

According to arrest records, Bradford told officers he didn’t have a ride home from the hospital that morning, so he drove off in an ambulance.

Metro police used a tracking device to locate the ambulance on I-24. Officers followed the vehicle as it took exit ramp 54 and pulled into a gas station.

Bradford complied with officers’ orders and was taken into custody, according to arrest records.

Paramedics have rejected Bradford’s claim that the ambulance was unlocked.

Bradford’s bond is set at $26,000.
