1/29/26 Montour County, PA – Man Steals A Geisinger EMS Ambulance From The Geisinger Medical Center – Crashes Through A Construction Gate And Got Stuck In A Snow Bank – Arrested

Police say Tyler Beaver, 23, of Watsontown, left the Emergency Department at Geisinger Medical Center near Danville Wednesday afternoon, ran to an unlocked ambulance, and tried to drive off with it.

Authorities say that when he was unable to take off in that vehicle, he ran to another unlocked ambulance and sped off with it.

Beaver allegedly crashed through a gate at Zartman Construction and was eventually caught after getting stuck in a snowbank along Old Route 11.

He faces a slew of charges, including theft of a motor vehicle, attempted theft of a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property, and fleeing or eluding a police officer.
