10/2/23 Nashville, TN – Two Ambulances Stolen In The Same Day – The First Struck A Vehicle During A Chase And Injured A Person – The Second Struck A Fire Engine – Both Suspects Arrested

Police are investigating two stolen Nashville ambulances, each taken in two separate incidents on Sept. 30. 

Gary Mabry of Mt. Juliet stole Medic 28 from the Tri-Star Summit Hospital in Hermitage before noon, WTVF reported. 

Metro Nashville and Mt. Juliet police officers pursued Mabry, who intentionally hit two other cars during the chase. One person who was in a vehicle that was struck during the chase was injured. 

Officers used spike strips to stop Mabry. He fled on foot before being taken into custody. 

Firefighters said Medic 29 was stolen from a scene when someone jumped in and drove it into a fire engine. 

No fire department personnel were injured.
