2/21/23 Choctaw, OK – Rescue Fire Truck Stolen From Apron Of Firehouse By Female While Crew Was Cleaning It – Police Chase – Stopped By Barricades In Road – Captured

The Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office told KOCO 5 that the chase involving a stolen Choctaw fire truck ended near Southeast 59th and Dobbs. A female suspect was taken into custody.

Firefighters were cleaning the equipment bay at the station near North Choctaw Road when they pulled the rescue truck outside and left the keys in it. The woman then jumped into the truck and drove away.

The chase reached over 60 mph before the woman was stopped by barricades in the road. Nobody was hurt during the incident, and a motive was not clear.

The truck is typically used to hold other fire equipment.
