5/6/25 South Haven, MS – Ambulance From South Haven Fire Stolen And Crashed Into Baptist Desoto Hospital Emergency Room – Under Investigation

Authorities in Southaven say an ambulance which was reportedly stolen crashed into the emergency entrance at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto Wednesday morning leaving one person with minor injuries.

The crash happened around 10 a.m.

According to Southaven Police Department, one person has been arrested. 

The hospital said in a statement that they are working with Southaven to investigate the situation, but confirmed that fortunately no patients or visitors were injured. One staff member did sustain minor injuries.

“The safety of our patients, staff, and visitors is always our top priority, and that is our focus at this time,” the statement read. “We are grateful for the quick response from Southaven’s emergency response team and will continue to work with them on this situation.”

The incident is still under investigation and no additional information is available.
